First Peoples Principles of Learning

The First Peoples Principles of Learning are a set of seven guiding principles that emphasize the importance of holistic, reflective, experiential, and relational learning that is respectful, responsible, and interconnected. These principles represent a significant shift in the way we approach teaching and learning, highlighting the importance of understanding the whole person and their relationship with the world around them. These principles are an important aspect of the decolonization of our education system. Incorporating these principles into my future teaching practice will create a more inclusive learning environment that values diverse ways of knowing and promotes respect, responsibility, and interconnectedness.
